Walter Tillman, age 85, of Live Oak, Florida, passed away on April 9, 2026.
He was born on February 16, 1941, in Live Oak, Florida. At an early age, Walter Tillman accepted Christ and carried his faith with him throughout his life. He worked for the Suwannee County Public Works Department as a supervisor until his retirement, dedicating many years of hard work and leadership.
He was known for his strength, wisdom, and deep love for his family. Walter Tillman lived a life that touched many, and he will be remembered for his presence, his character, and the legacy he leaves behind.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wendy Tillman; his daughter, Dominique Jackson; and his son, Walter Tillman.
He is survived by his loving children: Shirley Tillman Walker, Gwendolyn Tillman, Walter Tillman Jr., Angela Danson (Jeffrey), Joan Tillman, Tracey Tillman, Adrienne Lovett, Brandon Lovett, Cathleen Jones; and one devoted sister, Dorothy Johnson.
He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Tamika Standifer, Henry Standifer (Shakeda), Shaun Standifer, Jeamea Tillman, Daphne Tillman, Tavaris Smith, Walter Tillman III, Ahjarion Lovett, Braylen Lovett, Brandon Lovett Jr., Serenity Lovett, Braniyah Lovett, Dominique Reed, Charmaine Jones, Lyndell Jones, Kierra Beal, Kamiah Lovett, Kamari Lovett, and Kalli Starling; along with 22 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wendy Tillman; his daughter, Dominique Jackson; and his son, Walter Tillman.
Walter Tillman will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will forever remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
