A Time To Be Born....

Lindsey Carr, affectionately known as Carl or Carlo, was born on February 11, 1951, in West Point, Mississippi, to the late Mrs. Phyllis Rabb Carr. He was the youngest of six children and was raised in a loving home where he learned strong morals that shared his character, strength, and love for others.

A Time To Enjoy Life....

After graduating from high school, Lindsey moved to Miami, Florida, where he held various positions. He was employed at the Wiin-Dixie Warehouse as a mechanic, ensuring equipment was operational for daily operations.

He later began a long and dedicated career with Miami-Dade County Public Schools in the Transportation Department as a school bus driver. He was later promoted to the Maintenance Department, where he operated heavy-duty lawn equipment and took pride in keeping the school grounds well groomed. Lindsey faithfully dedicated 28 years of service until his retirement.

Lindsey enjoyed the outdoors and the freedom of the open road. He found great joy in fishing, hunting, and traveling. He often spent entire weekends patiently casting a line for hours, proudly bringing home the day's catch to enjoy. Each December, he looked forward to visiting his wife's hometown of Live Oak, where he embraced farm life and enjoyed squirrel hunting. After the trips, he was delighted in sharing his harvest with his friends in Miami.

Above all else, Lindsey treasured time spent with family and friends. Known for his quick wit, playful teasing, and love of "talking trash." He had a natural gift for making others laugh and brought warmth, energy, and joy to every gathering. In time, Lindsey and his wife grew weary of Miami's fast-paced city life and chose to make their home in Live Oak, Florida. There, they embraced a quieter way of living, surrounded by the natural beauty Lindsey cherished so deeply.

A Time To Love....

Lindsey shared many years of love and companionship with his devoted wife, Soddy, who stood faithfully by his side through life's joys and challenges. Their bond was one of deep commitment, friendship, and unwavering support.

A Time Of Demise....

Lindsey passed away peacefully on February 05, 2026, at HCA Hospital in Lake City, Florida, just six days shy his 75th birthday. He fought a courageous battle, and though his earthly journey has ended, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. The love he shared and the memories he leaves behind will live in our hearts forever.

A Time To Mourn....

Lindsey was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Rabb Carr and five siblings, (Flasco, Bertha, James, Betty and Alice). He leaves loving memories to be cherished by his loving wife, Magedelene and son, Lindsey Jr. (Mandy); A host of cousins, brothers- and sisters-in law, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
