The Life and Legacy of Ms. Katrina Johnson Katrina Johnson was born on August 3, 1963, to the late Eddie Sr. and Mamie Johnson. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was marked by love, faith, and dedication.
At an early age, Katrina accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, and she carried her faith with her throughout her life. Her spiritual foundation guided her in the way she loved, served, and cared for others.
Katrina was a proud graduate of Suwannee High School, Class of 1982. She was known for her strong work ethic, diligence, and unwavering commitment. She faithfully served her community through her work with Wendy’s and the Suwannee County School District for over 30 years, retiring in 2025. Her years of service reflected not only her dedication, but also her caring spirit and reliability.
Katrina leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever be cherished by her children: Comeneche Walker, Jawanna (Orrie) Coker, Marcus Walker, all of Live Oak, Florida; Pasqual Walker of Gainesville, Florida; and D’Neisha Smith of Live Oak, Florida. She was a proud and loving grandmother to 14 grandchildren, two of whom preceded her in death, Na’Riyah Shanice Smith and Lavar B. Gross, Jr.
She also leaves to cherish her memory her siblings: Melonease (Alfred) Harts of Statesboro, Georgia; Phylisa Johnson of Midway, Florida; Brenda (Fred) Cooks of Panama City, Florida; Eddie J. (Tiashana) Johnson, Jr. of Crawfordville, Florida; Chevett (Lonnie Sr.) Underwood of Lake City, Florida; Jerel Johnson of Tallahassee, Florida;Tanya (Michael) Jackson, Keith Johnson, and Antonio Johnson, all of Live Oak, Florida; along with her Uncle: Roy Lee (Ruby) Jennings; and a host other close relatives, and dear friends.
Katrina will be remembered for her strength, her kindness, her unwavering love for her family, and the quiet yet powerful impact she made on everyone who knew her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she loved and those who loved her
