Gwendolyn L. Pender Smith was born September 26, 1940 to the late Thomas & Ruthie Pender.

Early Saturday morning on March 14, 2026 she was called home to eternal resting place.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jimmie L. Smith. Her siblings Fannie Mae Lewis, Ella Mae Frazier, Linnie Hale, John L. Pender, Loretha Payne, Eunice Pender. One great granddaughter.

She graduated from Carver High School, in White Springs, Fla. She worked at Lake Shore Hospital for 33 years as a CNA.

Her loving memories will forever be cherished by her daughters, Johnnie Young & Michelle Smith (Benjamin); Daughters-in-love Debbie Wallace, Denise Browning. Sisters: Clementine Rolle (Ivan), Brenda Williams (George), Jessie Penter, ten grands, twenty great grands, one great-great grand; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss and love her.
